Harriett’s in the Pink for Breast Cancer Fundraiser

23rd September 2016

West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin joined MPs across the UK donning pink to launch this year’s breast cancer awareness initiative.

The MP attended a launch event in Westminster to encourage people to wear pink on October 21 and raise money for cancer research.

The initiative – which raises £2million each year - has been running since 2001 and Harriett offers her support each year to encourage more people to get involved.

Harriett commented: “We are lucky to have an excellent new breast unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and as a Government we have a commitment both to screening and a £1 billion fund to offer the best possible treatment.

“Each year I offer my support to this national initiative and I hope that local people will join me in wearing something pink on Friday October 21.”
