Harriett takes campaign break to mark community project

22nd May 2017

Conservative Parliamentary candidate Harriett Baldwin today took a break from campaigning to help to celebrate the opening of the re-built bridge over the river Teme at Eastham.

Harriett joined more than 100 local people celebrating the construction project at an afternoon village tea party.

Conservative politicians have taken the decision to take a break from campaigning today to celebrate local community activities in memory of Jo Cox who was murdered carrying out her Parliamentary duties last June.

Harriett commented: “The re-opening of the Eastham Bridge is a huge boost to the local community and I know villagers are pleased to gather in the sunshine to celebrate this achievement.

“At a time when we pause to remember my fallen colleague, Jo Cox, it is fitting to visit a strong and vibrant local community coming together to share good times.”
