West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin marked Apprenticeship Week with the news that she is recruiting an apprentice to join her Malvern team.
The MP runs an office in Malvern to help deal with constituent requests for assistance and during the pandemic, work-load has risen sharply with many local people and businesses looking for advice or just to share their views.
Harriett said: “It has been a very busy time for me my office over the last year, first dealing with serious flooding in the area and then the multitude of requests for help from local people as the global pandemic took hold.
“The House of Commons allocates an increased budget to employ a team to help me out and I’ve just advertised for a Malvern-based caseworker to add to my busy team.
“I’ve also been keen to take on an apprentice and when conditions allow, I’ll be advertising for an apprentice to join the team and earn while they learn.
The current job opportunity is being promoted through Malvern’s Jobcentre and can also be viewed at www.harriettbaldwin.com/job-advert.
