Mobile Post Office service returns to Tenbury

West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has welcomed the confirmation that the Post Office will resume its temporary service in the town while the Spar’s counters are being replaced.

The permanent Post Office will remain out of action for up to six weeks while the replacement kit is sourced.

Local Post Office managers have agreed to resume the temporary mobile service which will visit the town from next Tuesday between 2pm and 3.30pm parked by the scout hut.

Harriett commented: “I was briefed a couple of weeks ago about the major the impact the flooding has had on the Town’s brand-new Post Office and asked if the temporary mobile solution could be resume until the Spar is back up and running.

“Although some businesses have been able to get back up and running very quickly. I understand that the new counters were destroyed and there is a short lead-time to replace and install the new equipment.

“I hope that the Spar will be back up and running as quickly as possible, but I am grateful that the Post Office has been able to act swiftly to ensure some continuity of service for Tenbury.”
