Thank you for contacting me about an event in Downing Street last Christmas.

I appreciate that there has been heightened interest in what happened at Number 10 last year, but I know nothing more than what I read in the media. I understand that the Prime Minister was not in attendance and have noted his assurance that no rules were broken. I do, however, welcome his decision to ask for an independent enquiry to establish the facts on this matter.

I continue to focus on my Parliamentary duties representing my West Worcestershire constituents and speaking up for them as we accelerate the vaccination booster programme and try to get back to as near a normal life as the current conditions allow.

Russian troops are massing on the border of Ukraine, human beings  are being trafficked, the Taliban have retaken Afghanistan and  the world needs vaccinating. I hope that we can all maintain a sense of proportion and enjoy a much better Christmas than we were able to last year.
