Thank you for contacting me about the Prime Minister and events during the pandemic in Downing Street.

Having read Sue Gray’s report I do conclude that many staff at 10 Downing Street behaved inappropriately and shamefully in their workplace during the pandemic. It is clear that changes needed to be made and many people have left or moved jobs.

I did not see anything in the report or in the photos that makes me think this should be a sackable offence for our Prime Minister. However, I have sought assurances that this kind of behaviour is no longer allowed to occur in what is a workplace.

I am therefore prepared to accept the Prime Minister's apology and will continue to scrutinise the Government's work closely and champion the interests of West Worcestershire residents.
