The Government has made it clear that it will only sign up to international health regulations if they are firmly in the UK’s national interest.

Under no circumstances will the World Health Organisation have the power to mandate lockdowns, and this is not something that has been proposed.

No text has yet been agreed, but please rest assured the UK will only sign up to a treaty that respects our national sovereignty. That is a red line for the Government.
