The Bishop of Worcester Dr John Inge has joined the event to answer questions on the upcoming EU referendum at an event to be held in Malvern on June 21. Bishop John has agreed to join the event helping to answer questions about the referendum alongside West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin and former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith. The VIP panel of local experts will be chaired by emeritus professor in EU law – Evelyn Ellis – and the event is being promoted for undecided voters to come and quiz the panel. Harriett commented: “I am delighted that Bishop John has agreed to come and take part in this session. “I would like to offer people who have not yet made up their mind to come and quiz our expert panel on the issue and hear the facts. “This is a vote which could have serious implications for many generations to come and I want to make sure that people are informed of the facts before they go into the ballot box on June 23.” Bishop John added: “The vote on whether or not to remain in the EU is arguably the most significant decision of our generation. The decision is significant not only for this country but for the rest of Europe and the world. “I hope this event will give people who haven’t yet made up their minds, a chance to engage with the issues and allow them to reflect carefully before deciding where to place their cross.”
