A popular Malvern restaurant has been been ‘highly commended’ in a prestigious Parliamentary competition recognising the best in South Asian cooking.
Café Zam Zam was submitted to take part in the prestigious Tiffin Cup by West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin.
The Tiffin Cup is now in its eighth year and is judged by a collection of MPs and respected cookery experts. Judges visited the Malvern eaterie to sample the menu before selecting the finalists who will be invited to cook at the Houses of Parliament later this month.
Café Zam Zam will get a certificate and a specially embroidered apron.
Harriett said: “Competition for a spot in the finals gets tougher ever year and I am sure that Café Zam Zam will be pleased with this formal recognition of their work.
“It’s a shame that they weren’t able to repeat the success of Upton’s Flava Fusion, but I will be on the look-out for a good South Asian restaurant to submit next year.”
