Local candidate to join the main debate on the platform before George Osborne's speech.

Harriett Baldwin, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for West Worcestershire, has been invited to join the main session on the Economy at the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham next Monday, 29th September 2008 at 11am. She will join a panel answering questions from the floor just before George Osborne, the Shadow Chancellor, makes his keynote speech.

Harriett Baldwin was motivated to go into Conservative politics earlier this decade, as she foresaw the debt and economic problems that were beginning to build up under Gordon Brown when he was Chancellor of the Exchequer. She has over twenty years experience in financial markets as an investment manager for pension funds. In 2005 she led a team that published a critique of the City's regulator, the FSA, called "Leviathan is Still at Large" which was published by the Centre for Policy Studies."
