Harriett reacts to news that the Regional Flood Defence Committee has approved the funding for the Kempsey village flood bund scheme. “I am thrilled to hear the news today that the Regional Flood Defence Committee has approved the funding for the Kempsey village flood bund scheme. Last week's meeting was delayed because of the snow. I would like to congratulate everyone in the village for their outstanding fund-raising. I would also like to thank the local councils for their support for the scheme. Progress is now being made on a number of flood prevention schemes in West Worcestershire - Upton, Uckinghall, Powick, Pershore, Defford Road and now Kempsey. I will continue to work with Bill Wiggin MP to keep up the pressure for permanent flood defences in Tenbury Wells.”
