Harriett Baldwin today welcomed news that the newly formed patients' group Worcestershire LINk has agreed to champion the case of head and neck cancer services in Worcestershire.

Worcestershire LINk is a statutory body made up of volunteers from across the county. It was recently formed after Patient Involvement Forums were abolished. The group has the power to enter NHS property to review patient services. Anyone locally can join.

Harriett Baldwin said, "I recently issued a statement with Peter Luff, Robin Walker and Mark Garnier to support Worcester's bid to retain head and neck cancer services. Therefore I am delighted that following my recent meeting with the Chair of the Worcestershire LINk, they have also taken up the cause. They sent a letter on September 4th to the Chair of the 3 Counties Cancer Network with a list of questions about the muddle, secrecy and delay that have characterised the decision-making process so far."
