West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has today called for a meeting with health chiefs following reports that the popular Link Nursery faces closure.
Harriett has been contacted by a large number of constituents concerned that the facility will be closed down as part of a review of adult mental healthcare provision.
Harriett has written to Worcestershire Health and Care Trust chief executive Sarah Dugan asking for a meeting to discuss the proposals. She will also be discussing adult mental health provision with the local clinical commissioning group.
Harriett commented: “I have visited the Link Nurseries on several occasions and know of the great work that it does and I am keen to try and discuss this matter with the Health and Care Trust at the earliest possible opportunity.
“There is a huge groundswell of support for the resource and local people, service users and healthcare professionals have all contacted me to ask me to intervene.
“I hope to meet with Sarah Dugan to discuss this proposal and see what steps we can take to make better use of this wonderful facility and reassure my constituents.”
