West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin last week joined thousands of visitors touring the ever-popular Royal Three Counties Show in Malvern.
More than a hundred thousand people were expected to visit the venue during the weekend to see farming displays, food and drink retailers and other artisan produce.
It is estimated that the show brings £10 million into the local economy over the three days.
More than 7,000 animals were entered into competitions and this year's show included goats and a hound and beagle show for the first time.
This year’s show - whose patron is HRH The Princess Royal - boasted a further royal link with the Queen entering Highland ponies from the Balmoral estate into competition.
Harriett commented: “The Royal Three Counties Show continues to be one of the premier attractions in the year and over a hundred thousand people visited the west Malvern venue over the three days.
“I am told that the show is worth around £10 million to the local economy and this is a huge annual boost to the area as well as keeping Malvern firmly on the tourist map across the UK and the world.
“I love to tour the site and see all the amazing animals exhibited as well as seeing some of best of our local produce.
“This year, we are all trying to promote the importance of farming as a career, and the show is a wonderful way to demonstrate all the varied opportunities young people can take up in this industry.”
