West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin joined county colleagues to welcome extra NHS funding which will see local healthcare professionals getting over £1000 a year to help their personal development. Harriett met Health Secretary Matt Hancock to talk about funding for the local NHS and the continued challenges facing the Acute Trust’s management team as they attempt to move out of special measures. He was able to share the news of a £210 million spending bonus which will be confirmed in tomorrow’s statement made by Chancellor and Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid. The announcement follows the confirmation of the £20 billion a year increase committed by the Government last year.
