Malvern secondary school pupils got to quiz their parliamentary candidates in a hustings event at Dyson Perrin Academy. And Harriett Baldwin, who is the Conservative candidate for West Worcestershire, confirmed that she will be taking part in a series of formal hustings and village meetings as part of her plan to chat to voters in the run up to polling day. Harriett commented: “I always enjoy the change to engage with voters of all ages and it is was useful to hear the views of local young people – especially on issues like climate change. “I’m proud of the Government’s ambition to deliver net zero emissions by 2050 and the 25-year plan for the environment is a comprehensive strategy for delivering real improvements for our children and grandchildren. “There were also some really interesting questions on school funding and the impact of Brexit on young people and I hope I was able to put some minds at ease. “I have accepted several invitations to hustings events and I welcome the chance to make my case for re-election as the Conservative Member of Parliament for West Worcestershire on December 12.”
