West Worcestershire Conservative candidate Harriett Baldwin was quizzed by eager political students as part of a school Question Time at The Chantry in Martley. The school is running its own mock election on Polling Day, next week, and she was invited to speak to pupils and teachers and answer questions about Conservative policy. Harriett said: “It is always interesting to see what questions young people come up with and it is clear they were an exceptionally engaged audience. “I had some challenging questions about the economy, taxes and my party’s education policy and I hope that I was able to give straight-forward, informative responses. “Mock elections are a great way of introducing younger students to the concept of voting and I hope that I have helped to get more young people interested in politics. “It has been a privilege to be the MP for The Chantry over the last five years and I hope that the voters will decide to elect me for a further term on May 7.” Photo: Harriett Baldwin at Chantry’s Election Question Time.
