West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has offered her support to a free debt service being launched in Pershore. The service, which is based at Pershore library on Church Street, will provide one-to-one support for between 20 and 30 people who have serious debt issues. Harriett was joined by her Mid Worcestershire colleague Nigel Huddleston MP at the launch event in the library, last Friday (November 20). Advice will be offered by CAP Debt Centre manager Richard Hogarth, Neil Sprague and a specialist team of advisers based in Huddersfield. Harriett commented: “As an MP I sometimes come across people with serious debt problems and this will provide a very useful support mechanism for those in most need. “The best advice is to make sure that you don’t ignore your debtors and Richard and his team will help clients to re-structure their debt and build budgets. “I am happy to help to publicise this service and spread the word to local people. We both offer advice free at the point of access and I am sure that if I come across anyone with a serious debt issue, I will refer them to Richard and his team.” Photo: Richard Hogarth, Nigel Huddleston MP, Neil Sprague and Harriett Baldwin MP.
