West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has today urged local businesses to make sure they have their say in Worcestershire’s growth plans.
Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Worcestershire County Council are asking for local businesses to speak up as the county develops a long-term economic plan.
Harriett urged businesses to join in the consultation and make sure economic development chiefs know the views of the private sector.
Earlier this month, Harriett urged the county council and LEP to work together to develop an economic plan which will help to secure the investment needed to dual the Carrington Road bridge.
Harriett said: “It is vital that local businesses take the time to have their say and share what they need in a plan to secure the county’s long-term economic growth.
“I welcome the fact that the county and LEP are listening to the views of local business owners. These people are the real drivers of the local economy and we must do all we can to ensure that they want to stay here in the county creating jobs and wealth.
“But it could not be more important that businesses take the time to get involved and I am urging as many companies as possible to spare 15 minutes to feed in their views.”
