Harriett Baldwin MP this week visited the Safer Roads Partnership to receive a briefing on road safety and speeding problems in West Worcestershire. She commented: “I have been very encouraged by the excellent work that the team does to make our roads safer. “Surveys show that in my constituency, two thirds of residents put speeding issues very high on their list of priorities. It’s clear that rather than just enforcing speed limits, the team is working hard at educating people about the consequences of speeding. “I have already seen some impressive community- led speed awareness campaigns in Abberley, Great Witley, Hallow, Hanley Swan, Holt Heath and Welland, and I will be working with the Safer Roads Partnership and local parishes to try and make our roads safer for all. “I discussed future plans and would like to see the A38 from Kempsey to Uckinghall tackled as well as Crown East.”
