West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin joined MPs across the UK donning pink to launch this year’s breast cancer awareness initiative. The MP attended a launch event in Westminster to encourage people to wear pink on October 21 and raise money for cancer research. The initiative – which raises £2million each year - has been running since 2001 and Harriett offers her support each year to encourage more people to get involved. Harriett commented: “We are lucky to have an excellent new breast unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and as a Government we have a commitment both to screening and a £1 billion fund to offer the best possible treatment. “Each year I offer my support to this national initiative and I hope that local people will join me in wearing something pink on Friday October 21.” Photo: Harriett Baldwin goes pink to raise awareness for Wear It Pink on October 21.
