A luxury car manufacturer has set out ambitious growth plans to help it to expand to meet growing demand.
West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin visited Pembleton Motor Company, nestled in the Teme Valley, to hear of the company’s plans to add extra production space to allow it to increase car output.
The family-owned company has produced three-wheel and four-wheel cars for the luxury car market for over two decades and under the leadership of Guy Gregory, it is embarking on an ambition growth plan.
Harriett was invited to the company’s production facility and showroom, in the village of Bayton, to be briefed on the expansion plans.
The company has bid for funding for a purpose-built workshop, using up to £25,000 from the Malvern Hills Rural Fund, which replaces investment that used to come via the European Union, and will support small business that need to expand.
Harriett said:
“Pembleton Motor Company is a gem of a business tucked away in rural West Worcestershire and I was really impressed to hear of its growth plans.
“I first became aware of the company because of its plans to take on apprentices – which is an initiative I strongly support – and the company is using local education providers to help local people to develop traditional car-building skills.
“Our county and the wider West Midlands has a strong car heritage and it is great to see another manufacturer looking to expand its business to meet growing demand.”
Guy Gregory added:
“We would like to thank Harriett Baldwin for her support and enthusiasm towards our business, as well as the many others she supports throughout West Worcestershire.
“We have some very exciting plans in place to grow our family-owned business. Next year, we will mark our 25th anniversary and we plan to celebrate this by moving into new, custom-built facilities.
“Investment in these facilities, as well as new technologies and equipment will provide us with a strong platform to growth. The new building will focus on low carbon, renewable energy, assisting us in our plans for a green future.”
