Harriett Baldwin celebrated the success of local hops and local brewing during a visit to a successful Malvern start-up. Harriett met with Dan Frost, who has returned to Malvern following a career in advertising to set up the Lakehouse Brewery on Peachfield Road. And Dan is using the skills he honed in London to create new beers using hops bought from local sources including Charles Faram – also based in Malvern. He sells his beers in local stores and takes product to local events and food festivals as well as offering brewery tours. Harriett commented: “Worcestershire is world-famous for its hops and it is great to see another local brewer taking up the challenge of making the most of some of our finest natural produce. “Dan has some ambitious plans and I was eager to wish him good luck as he looks to expand his business in the heart of the Malvern Hills.” Photo: Harriett Baldwin MP with Malvern’s Lakehouse Brewery owner Dan Frost.
