West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin today announced she will be visiting Kempsey tomorrow (Friday November 30) to offer her help and support to villagers affected by the floods.
This trip will be in addition to the regular weekly advice surgery session which will be held the same day in the Memorial Hall in Upton-upon-Severn as usual starting at 5pm.
The MP will visit Kempsey village between 3pm and 4pm to meet with representatives from the Environment Agency to discuss the flooding and to hear the conclusions of the investigation into the pump failure over the weekend.
Harriett will also be touring the village and will be available if villagers need to discuss any problems with her. Villagers can ring the constituency office on 01684 585165 to make an appointment to talk to Harriett or gather at the St Mary’s Church at 3pm.
Later that day, Harriett will also hold her regular surgery in Upton which has been benefitting from two flood defence schemes.
The next surgery will see Harriett head to Alfrick and Lulsley with a session at the village hall on December 7. A list of upcoming surgery dates are published here.
Harriett commented: “I wanted to try and be accessible to as many people as possible this week and I was keen to show my support for the people who have been affected by flooding this week.
“This special trip will allow me to get a better understanding of the flooding and to offer my help to anyone who needs it.
“As normal, any one who wants to see me can ring the constituency office and book a time to come and see me.
“I am keen to make sure I am as accessible as possible to every one and I hope people who need my assistance will take this opportunity to book a slot.”
