Local MP Harriett Baldwin today flew the flag for Worcestershire at a two meetings to discuss opportunities for the UK's growing businesses. Harriett today met with Trade Minister Lord Green and UK Trade and investment chief Crispin Simon as well as a range of representatives from the Business Department to seek further opportunities to help local businesses. Harriett commented: “Many of my constituency businesses are growing fast, adding staff and are already benefiting from government contracts and trading abroad. I was keen to talk to the Minister about our success stories including Morgan Motors, Holywell Water and QinetiQ. “Lots of small companies could be exploiting government tenders and foreign markets and I have had long discussions with the Business, Trade and Investment teams to see what resources are available to help. “Whether it is access to finance, mentors, business advice, export finance, apprentices, international networks or help with tendering, as a local MP I can help to signpost all the Government's resources to help your business grow. “If every small business in this country added one extra member of staff, there would be no unemployment, so I am backing local businesses all the way to succeed.”
