West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has offered her support to Tenbury’s Regal Theatre management team as they look to raise funds for expansion plans.
The MP recently met with the Regal’s trustees to discuss plans to make more use of the popular theatre venue.
And Harriett agreed to help the team source additional funding streams as it develops plans to expand and grow.
Harriett commented: “The Regal Theatre is a great venue and I have always thought that we should make more of this jewel in the heart of the town.
“People come from far and wide to enjoy shows or see the latest films but it has always struggled to do more because it is constrained both by its location and the lack of funds to be able to plan for expansion.
“The Trustees have shared some ambitious plans with me and I am hopeful that they are working together with the town council to agree an action plan.
“I’ve also been able to point them towards alternative funding streams and I hope that this will prove useful as the strategy starts to take shape.
“The Regal is a great local resource which runs smoothly thanks to the hard work of its management team and an army of super volunteers. I am pleased to be able to support their efforts as they plan for making more use of the town centre space.”
