West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has today welcomed measures in today’s Budget which will help to keep the economy strong.
Chancellor Philip Hammond today outlined measures which will help to deliver more high paid, high skills job and investment to keep the country at the forefront of the global technology revolution.
Harriett commented: “There are measures which will help our local business after the changes in business rates announced earlier this year including a special £300 million fund to help support individual hard cases.
“I am sure pub owners will welcome raise a glass to celebrate the news that nine out of ten per cent of all pubs will see a £1,000 discount on their 2017 Business Rates bill.
“I look forward to seeing the detail on the plans to invest further money in our local infrastructure including £220 million to reduce traffic pinch points. There is also a further £200 million to help improve our rural broadband connectivity.
“This was a budget which lays the foundations of a stronger, fairer, more highly-skilled global Britain outside the EU – a country that works for everyone.”
