West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has called for extra Sunday opening hours at Malvern’s Tourist Information Centre following its relocation to a new base. The centre, which is now based in the Lyttelton Well Courtyard on Church Street, provides key information for visitors to the town including leaflets and guides, event information and an accomodation booking service. The team and volunteers moved to the new location last Spring and it is now open six days a week as well as Sundays in the summer. Harriett commented: “The staff are were keen to be open more on Sundays and I have asked Malvern Hills District Council to see what can be done to accommodate this. “The Tourist Information Centre is an important place for visitors to find out more about what to see and do in and around Malvern and often it’s the first place that people visit when they arrive either by car or train. “It was really useful to hear the feedback from the staff directly and I took the opportunity to thank them, and all the volunteers who help to give our visitors the best possible welcome.” Photo:Malvern Hills District Council’s Simon Smith with Harriett Baldwin MP at Malvern’s new Tourist Information Centre.
