West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin this week called on local people to share their memories as part of a national history project to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. The MP is supporting a project by the Royal Commonwealth Society to create an online archive of personal memories over the last 60 years. Prince Harry has already made his submission to the project and local people are being urged to join in to create a national database of memories for future generations. The Jubilee Time Capsule project will create the archive from across the UK and the Commonwealth. Memories can be submitted at www.jubileetimecapsule.org. Harriett commented: “This is an interesting project and I am keen to spread the word to get local people to get involved and submit their memories and photographs. “The last 60 years have seen enormous change and I am sure future generations will benefit from seeing the perspective of Worcestershire people. “There are also some huge celebrations occurring this year and people may want to share their photos of the Jubilee celebrations and their Olympics memories.”
