West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has congratulated green-fingered town council workers after Malvern grabbed a ‘Gold’ for its displays.
Harriett joined the judges from the Heart of England in Bloom panel on a tour to see floral arrangements in the Rosebank Gardens.
Representatives from the town were presented with the award at a ceremony yesterday (September 11). It is the eighth gold award in nine years and the town is also hoping for good news from the RHS Britain in Bloom Awards to be announced on October 16.
Harriett said: “I have always said that Malvern is a very beautiful place to visit and I am delighted that the judges agreed by awarding the town a ‘gold’.
“This is a tremendous accolade for all those who work so hard to keep our town looking great for visitors and I want to congratulate all the staff.
“We are keeping our fingers crossed for more good news in October and I hope that we are able to celebrate once again next month.”
