West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin this week congratulated the team running an ‘outstanding’ Malvern care home. The MP toured the Howbury House Resource Centre in Pickersleigh Grove, Malvern after receiving reports of its continued reputation as an excellent facility. Harriett took afternoon tea with staff and residents during her visit last week (Friday March 9). Howbury House is a Worcestershire county council facility which cares for 32 people and offers vital transitional care helping people between being discharged from hospital and returning to their homes. Harriett said: “I arranged the visit after receiving a wonderful letter from a constituent saying what a great job the staff do. “It is always a pleasure to be able to visit somewhere that has such an outstanding reputation and I was more than happy to spread the good news. “I spoke to many of the current residents and everyone seems to be really happy with the care they are receiving, and they are soon ready to return home. “I was able to pass on my constituent’s thanks to the team for the great work they do. “I’m also told that Howbury has entered Malvern in Bloom this year so if there are any keen gardeners who would be willing to help, please to get in touch with the team.” Jackie Creese, manager at Howbury House, added: “We have a dedicated team here at Howbury who work hard to ensure that all those who stay with us experience the very best care possible. “It is so rewarding when somebody comes back and tells us what a positive experience they have had with us.”
