West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has welcomed the return of the popular Brewers Arms in West Malvern which is now pouring pints for locals and tourists after a community-led rescue.
And the pub owners are now looking for permanent tenant landlords to take over the day-to-day running of the pub.
Harriett visited the now-open pub to chat to the management team about the challenges it now faces to thrive after securing the cash to buy the site from Admiral Taverns.
The MP worked with the group as the funding bid was launched and she welcomed the community who clubbed together to buy their local boozer.
Harriett said:
“This is a wonderful good news story, where a community has gathered together to save their local pub and take it on as a going concern.
“The pub has had an impressive face lift and it’s a cosy place to pop in for a pint during colder months and will be a glorious place for local walkers and tourists to enjoy some stunning views of West Malvern in the summer.
“I’ve offered the management team my ongoing support as it takes on the challenges of running a community pub and I hope that people will vote with their feet and visit the Brewers Arms for many years to come.”
