West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin congratulated Boris Johnson on becoming the new Prime Minister, having been elected by the Conservative members by 66 per cent. Harriett commented: “It is now crucial that the Conservative party unite behind the Prime Minister, deliver a successful Brexit and that we continue with the policies that have led to a strong economy, record employment, record funding for the NHS and schools, and that we ensure that at the next General Election, we defeat the dreadful duo of Corbyn and McDonnell, who would put our country back decades.”
