West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin today continued her drive towards total transparency for her expenses with the publication of her latest claims. The latest set of expenses have all been verified and accepted by the independent scrutineer set up last year. All of the expenses will be published today by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority, which approves all Harriett’s expenses submissions. Harriett commented: “The independent body responsible for verifying all parliamentary expenses are publishing the latest batch of expenses up to March. “Each of these expenses is checked and approved before being re-paid to me and my team. “These expenses – and those of my team working in Malvern – reflect the accurate cost of running two offices to cope with the demands of West Worcestershire constituents. “Like any small business owner, we are facing increased costs, especially increased fuel costs. “I welcome the chance to show people that we are doing all we can to keep our costs reasonable whilst providing support for more than 70,000 in West Worcestershire.” The annual budget for the constituency office and for advice surgery premises rental is limited to £10,663 and Harriett also has a £10,394 annual budget for office costs.
