Local MP Harriett Baldwin last week (Friday) answered questions from pupils from schools across the county. Schools including Tenbury High School submitted questions to be answered by Harriett at a two hour session at County Hall. Harriett was joined in the council chamber by Worcester MP Robin Walker and Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier. Questions included school funding, tuition fee plans, local transport issues and the reputation of teenagers. Harriett commented: “I was pleased to see so many schools attending the debate and together we faced an interesting range of questions of a wide variety of subjects. “From my point of view, rural transport was an emotive topic for the students and I hope that the council will look into the viability of extending the bus pass to 14 year olds. “This group of people will all get a chance to vote in the election in 2015 so I was glad for the opportunity to talk to them and hear their points of view.”
