West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has praised the efforts of Alfrick village show organisers after thousands of visitors flocked to the annual fete. Nearly 4,000 people travelled to the 63rd Alfrick and Lulsley Show to see an impressive range of traditional stalls and stands as well as a display by a stunt pilot. The show also boasted a dog display team, a falconry show, a dog show and a horticultural contest, all compered by local media celebrity Dave Bradley. Harriett was asked by the village to present a bouquet of flowers to outgoing show chairman Bridget Lewis who has organised the annual event for 14 years. Harriett said: “The Alfrick and Lulsley show is always a highlight in my summer diary and it is great to see so many people enjoying the spectacle. “The villagers always put in a huge effort into making the event a success and many thousands of pounds get donated to good causes as a result of their hard work. “Bridget has done an amazing job as chairman and I wanted to help to mark her amazing success. “I hope people enjoyed the show as much as I did and I thank everyone who turned up and put their hands in their pockets to ensure this year was a tremendous success.” Photo: (l-r) Harriett Baldwin MP, Bridget Lewis, David Hughes.
