West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin has flown in to the rescue to help a handful of travellers hit by delays getting their passports.
The MP has been approached by a number of local people who have faced holiday cancellations because of extra delays in the UK passport offices.
Just this week, two constituents have contacted Harriett to confirm that after her intervention, passports were located and delivered allowing them to travel.
Harriett said: “There has been a record number of passport applications this year as more families are planning holidays abroad and more businesses are exporting.
“My office is able to access an MP hotline for passports for a number of constituents and I am pleased to say that the progress so far has been very good.
“It is always nice when someone writes in to say thanks and I am pleased that we have been able to help.
“If anyone is experiencing issues and has an urgent case, I urge them to get in touch with my Malvern office and we will do everything we can to help.”
