Harriett Baldwin MP has joined forces with the Post Office to help them celebrate a deal to keep offering DVLA services. The MP attended an event in Westminster to mark the deal which will ensure the Post Office can offer driving licensing and road tax services to its customers. The seven year deal was concluded last year and means that the Post Office can continue to offer these services as well as offering services such as foreign currency, travel insurance and savings. Harriett commented: “The Post Office plays an important role in our rural communities and I have worked hard to ensure that the best possible service is available across my constituency. “Over 600 of my constituents sent me a campaign post card saying how much they value this service. “I am pleased to celebrate this news and I am sure that regular post office users will celebrate too.” Martin Moran, commercial director at the Post Office said: “We are delighted to have the Harriett’s support. “The Post Office has a strong track record in successfully delivering essential government services and winning the DVLA contract again is testimony to the quality of our staff and subpostmasters, whose longstanding commitment to serving local communities contributed greatly to this success.”
