West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin last week (Friday October 9) joined local businesses at a novel networking event led by a Malvern entrepreneur.
Sarah Stewart hosts a so-called ‘jelly’ session on Friday mornings which encourages freelancers, home workers and micro-businesses to get together and collaborate.
Access to the venue and superfast wi-fi are free and each participant is encouraged to work together.
Harriett said: “Over the last year, we have seen a spike in the number of people setting up their own business and initiatives such as this are vital.
“Working from home can be isolating so the Friday jelly session allows people to get out and chat to like-minded people.
“Although we have some really great spaces in the county for established businesses, we can do more to help the start-ups and I think Sarah is doing a great job bringing this innovation to Malvern.”
