West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin had a plum-tastic time after being invited to pop in to meet the Pershore Plum Princess and her attendants.
Wychavon District Council chair Lynne Duffy invited reigning Plum Princesses Analeise Cooper and attendants Lilly Adams and Ella Townend to have tea with her and the Pershore MP last week (Friday February 20).
The girls’ families were also invited to come along and Harriett popped in to say thank you for all the work they do promoting Pershore.
Harriett commented: “It was wonderful to be invited to meet with the three girls. I think they do a wonderful job helping to promote the town and I was glad to be able to say thank you in person.
“The Pershore Plum Festival is one of our most important local events and we are all lucky to have such civic-minded girls in these crucial roles.”
Lynne added: “I have met the Plum Princess and her attendants on several occasions throughout the Summer and have been really impressed with their commitment and enthusiasm for their roles.
“I thought they all deserved an official thank you and so invited them to tea.”
