Harriett Baldwin today offered her support to a campaign to improve local services for disabled children and their families.
And the MP joined Bridget Jones film start Sally Phillips at an event to raise the profile of a campaign led by mental health charity Scope.
The charity is asking the Government to offer better support to families through a bill which is currently being debated in Parliament.
Harriett commented: "Families with disabled children can face incredibly difficult challenges and it is important that the Government looks what it can do to help out.
"Families with disabled children are struggling with things we take for granted such as childcare or nursery places, appropriate schools, or even healthcare in their local area.
"I am happy to offer my support to Scope and help to raise awareness of this issue both locally and nationally."
