West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin this week offered her support to a music festival planned for Upton over the August bank holiday.
The MP joined Upton mayor Andrea Morgan and Upton Tourism and Trade Association chair Annette Keyworth in welcoming the event scheduled for August.
The festival will feature performances from acts including Buck Fizz, Alexander O’Neal and local celebrity Toyah Wilcox.
Harriett welcomed plans which will encourage local businesses to get free stands on the festival site.
Harriett commented: “Upton has a reputation for running successful music festivals and many people travel from far and wide to visit the town.
“I welcome this year’s plans to involve local traders and I hope that the whole town will be able to benefit from this event.
“Let’s hope for good weather this summer so all of our scheduled events thrive and succeed in 2013.”
