West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin today described the Three Counties Agriculture Show as an ‘astounding’ event following her tour of the showground on Friday.
And Harriett praised event organisers for turning the event into an impressive showcase for the entire region.
Harriett commented: “The event has grown very impressively over the last few years and the show has become an astounding local attraction.
“With the demise of the Royal Show, this really has become the focus of the agricultural community and people from all over the region now converge on Malvern to see the best that farming has to offer.”
Harriett spoke at the Country Landowners’ Association breakfast and participated in a panel discussion on sustainable farming hosted by the National Farmers’ Union.
Harriett added: “Our rural communities are often forgotten when discussions arise on the health of the economy and prospects for recovery.
“I took away some important messages to feedback to Government and I will be sure to raise these when I get the chance to meet with Ministers in Westminster.”
