West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin this week praised local businesses which are helping to build Malvern’s growing global reputation for innovation.
The MP was speaking at the Malvern Festival of Innovation cyber security event which gathered representatives from companies from all over the world.
Harriett met with exhibitors and discussed the challenges of growing cutting-edge cyber businesses in so-called ‘cyber valley’ in and around Malvern.
Harriett said: “This is the fourth year that Malvern has become a hub for some of the brightest thinking in the cyber community and companies travel from all over the world to tap into the town’s innovative thinkers.
“For many decades, Malvern’s reputation for innovation has been under-played. It is great to see initiatives like this which help to spread the word about our successes to the wider business community.
“I particularly welcome the fact that local schools have got engaged with the festival and hope that we are inspiring the next generation of brilliant brains to keep driving our reputation forward.”
