Three small companies based in West Worcestershire have been highlighted in a national report on inspiring businesses. The three companies – Metrasens and Well Hopped in Malvern and Hob Farms in Pershore – feature in the report published today by the London Stock Exchange. The report highlights some of the best small businesses in the UK and identifies sectors which will drive economic growth in the coming year. MP Harriett Baldwin offered her congratulations to the local businesses and praised the many small and medium sized businesses based in the county creating jobs and wealth. Harriett commented: “Small business are the lifeblood of our economy and I am very pleased to see these three companies highlighted in this prestigious annual report. “I have recently visited both Metrasens and Well Hopped and I am well aware of their impressive work trading on the global stage. “One of the most rewarding things in my job as an MP has been watching companies like this grow from small business start-ups to medium and then large businesses. This is only possible with hard work and the easy availability of capital to fund growth. “We are also enjoying record levels of employment and rising wages and the economic picture is still strong for local companies of all sizes.” Report
