West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin dropped into a Malvern restaurant to serve up the news it has been commended in a national competition recognising the best in South Asian cooking.
Anupam, on Church Street in Malvern, was been nominated by West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin to take in the annual Tiffin Cup which is a national competition open to MPs up and down the country. Anupam was visited by independent judges and picked up a ‘highly-commended award.
Harriett dropped into the popular restaurant to owner Kaiser Kazi and restaurant manager Maher Kazi.
Harriett commented: “We have some really good restaurants specialising in South Asian cooking in West Worcestershire and each year I keep my eye out for a good eaterie to put forward to represent my constituency.
“Anupam is very well-known locally as a regular place for pre- and post-theatre diners and I have been there quite a few times myself and have always enjoyed my food there.
“I popped in to offer my personal congratulations and to present them with a certificate to mark their commendation. I hope they are happy that they have been recognised in this national competition.
