West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin will this week take good news to Malvern Vale residents when she takes her surgery to the new community centre. Harriett has held her regular advice surgery sessions at the brand new community centre for nearly two years. She has actively lobbied for fast broadband connectivity to the area as well as the provision of bus services and recently took up the cause of local residents calling for the completion of roads and pathways by developer Persimmon Homes. This week, the developer responded to correspondence from the MP and progress has been made with the county council which will allow for immediate progress on roads around the new estate. Harriett plans to update local residents on these recent developments during her visit to the area on Friday. The advice surgery session will take place at Malvern Vale Community Centre on Friday January 30 starting at 5pm. Constituents can book a place in the usual way by speaking to a caseworker on 01684 585165. Harriett commented: “I have held my surgeries in Malvern Vale as soon as I was able to take advantage of the new community centre. It is a great facility and perfect for me to meet local people. “By getting around the local community, I get to hear many of problems that crop up including broadband connections and the dreadful road surfaces and I have been able to act on behalf of local people to achieve results. “My job as an MP is to help wherever and however I can. Anyone who wants to see me can ring the constituency office and book a time to come and see me.”
