Local MP Harriett Baldwin visited a Malvern primary school on Friday and came face to face with a room full of superheroes. The MP was invited to visit Northleigh C of E Primary School to talk to a group of pupils about climate change. The pupils were dressed as superheroes as part of the BBC Children in Need appeal. Harriett answered a series of questions from children and discussed renewable energy sources for Malvern. Harriett commented: “Climate change is an important subject and it is great to see so many young people engaged and interested in how we make sure we cut our carbon emissions and have sustainable energy sources in the future. “I have asked Years 5 and 6 to prepare a project with a proposal for locating renewable power sources in Malvern, so they can understand the challenges and opportunities. “The classes presented me with posters to display and I have offered to put some of them up in Parliament to help spread the word about how much they care about the issue of climate change.” Photo: Harriett Baldwin MP shows off Northleigh Primary School's climate change posters which are due to be displayed in Parliament.
