West Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin today visited Pershore posties to thank them for their efforts delivering the Christmas mail.
The MP met with Robert White and his team to thank them for their efforts during the busy days leading up to Christmas. Harriett makes an early morning annual visit to a local sorting office in her constituency to meet staff and show her gratitude in person.
Harriett commented: “Every year, I try to pop in to a sorting office and say thanks, not only for the huge extra effort at Christmas but also the great job our posties do throughout the year.
“Personally I send out thousands of letters each year to my constituents and I know just how valued their hard work is.
“I hope that they get some down time during the Christmas break and get the chance to put their feet up.
“I encourage people to take the time to say thank you to their local postie too as they make sure we have a first class service throughout the year.”
Robert White, Royal Mail Delivery Office Manager at Pershore, added: “Our postmen and women are working extremely hard to deliver Christmas cards, letters and parcels to people across Pershore.
“We are grateful that Harriett visited the office to see our operation and to support the team during our busiest time of year.
“We’d like to remind our customers to post early so that friends and family have longer to enjoy their Christmas greetings.”
