Harriett Baldwin today published her latest expenses approved by the independent parliamentary watchdog. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority publishes all MP’s expenses every two months as they are confirmed by their in-house scrutineers. Harriett is reimbursed for costs incurred working in Westminster and also the regular car journeys she makes between Westminster and the constituency and attending meetings in the county. The expenses also include the costs of her constituency staff and the costs incurred running an office in Malvern. Harriett was repaid £510.80 to cover second home accommodation, office rental costs of £1741.73 and £1447.86 of general office administration expenses. She was also repaid £1177.75 to cover her and her staff’s travel costs. Harriett said: “All of these expenses have been verified and approved by the independent watchdog. The public should have complete transparency. “We provide support for more than 70,000 people and since the election my team has written more than 9,000 letters and I have attended more than 300 events in the constituency. In Westminster I have spoken in 76 debates and sat on 5 public bill committees.”
